Meditation
Classes in a variety of meditation techniques are taught including Ki
Breathing, Breath Counting, and Candle
Meditation.
Reiki
Students interested learning advanced ki development and healing techniques
usually take the three levels of Reiki Classes. After learning Aiki Ryoho
at blue belt rank, it is suggested that students take Reiki level 1 at
purple belt, Reiki level 2 at brown belt and Reki Mastery at black belt.
Uinta
Waterfall Workshop
Waterfall meditation has always been a tradition in many martial arts.
Shinto traditions suggest that meditating in nature can help build ki.
Usually in August a waterfall workshop is held in the Uinta National Forest.
Here participants prepare themselves to sit under a waterfall and meditate.
Winter Camp
Periodically winter camp outs are held to help develop a higher
level of ki training. Blending and harmonizing with nature requires more
discipline out in the cold. Students can learn to build snow caves other
outdoor survival skills. Highlights of the camp includes meditation in
rivers and rondori in snow banks.
Shamanic
Training
Ahsa Aikido offers classes in Shamanic processes. These eclectic
classes draw from a variety of traditions including native cultures, Huna,
Shinto , Celtic and others. These courses are reserved for the advanced
student and usually studied after black belt.
